Tom Simmermaker

Tom is a perspiring comedian and creative writer based in Los Angeles. You might think he meant to say aspiring but he didn’t. The boy sweats a lot.

Tom graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, where he won the Anne Howard Bailey Award for Creative Writing. His poetry has been published by Eclectica Magazine and his photography has been featured in The Manhattanville Review, Film Shooters Collective, and Film Scouts Anthology Vol. 1.

Outside of making stuff and working a day job in tech, Tom is a Teaching Artist at Inner-City Arts in LA. Tom used to improvise with his team Trü Bangerz but then the novel coronavirus killed live theater. He is hopeful about getting back onstage at some point but you know it’s also kinda strange. The way that desire has just evaporated. It’s probably just depression though so just shut up and do it. Who’s talking?
